‘Balloon in a Box’

Your ‘balloon in a box’ delivery will be made by Royal Mail. There are two delivery options for you to choose from:

Guaranteed Special Delivery (Monday - Friday)

Your chosen ‘balloon in a box’ will be dispatched the day before your requested delivery date* and will be delivered before 13:00 by the Guaranteed Special Delivery – Next Day service.

This type of delivery does require a signature at the delivery address, but not necessarily from the recipient themselves.

If there isn’t anyone available to sign for the delivery a Royal Mail card will be left informing the intended recipient that a Special Delivery attempt has been made. The card will also give a telephone number and details about how to get the ‘balloon in a box’ re-delivered or where it can be collected from (usually a local Royal Mail sorting office).

*Please note: Gifts are dispatched Monday to Friday only. If you require a Monday delivery you should choose this delivery option (so that your balloon can be dispatched on Friday and then arrive on Monday).

Guaranteed Special Delivery (Saturday)

Your chosen ‘balloon in a box’ will be dispatched the day before your requested delivery date and will be delivered before 13:00 by the Guaranteed Special Delivery – Saturday service.

This type of delivery does require a signature at the delivery address, but not necessarily from the recipient themselves.

If there isn’t anyone available to sign for the delivery a Royal Mail card will be left informing the intended recipient that a Special Delivery attempt has been made. It will also give a telephone number and details about how to get the ‘balloon in a box’ re-delivered or where it can be collected from (usually a local Royal Mail sorting office).

Please note: this type of service will not deliver to the following business types on a Saturday: Banks, Building Societies, Travel Agents, Jewellers and Post Office Branches.
 

Deliveries cannot be made on Sundays and Bank Holidays

If you choose a delivery date that is on a Sunday, you will need to choose the Saturday delivery option for it to arrive on the Saturday before it, or the Mon - Fri delivery option for it to arrive on the Monday after it (or Tuesday after it if there is a Bank Holiday on the Monday).

If you choose a delivery date that is a Bank Holiday (Monday or Friday), your order will be despatched to arrive the working day before or after it.

Whilst Royal Mail delivers to 99.9% of all UK addresses, there are some exceptions to normal postal services. (If you think that the recipient’s address may be difficult to reach or normally has a slower delivery service, please feel free to check their postcode with Royal Mail before choosing which type of delivery service and which delivery date you require for your ‘balloon in a box’ order.)
